Loudon County Tennessee Homes for Sale

East Tennessee / Loudon County

The Area

Loudon County TN Real Estate

Loudon County was formed in 1870 and takes its name from Fort Loudoun, a British fort built in 1756 near Vonore that was destroyed by the Cherokee four years later. Native peoples lived along the Little Tennessee River here for thousands of years. Loudon is the county seat, on the Tennessee River.

Lenoir City is the largest community in the county, with the river, a historic downtown and an easy run to Knoxville. Greenback and Philadelphia are small towns with a country feel. Tellico Village is a planned community on Tellico Lake, built with golf courses, marinas and a clubhouse lifestyle in mind.

Water is a big part of life in Loudon County, with Watts Bar Lake, Tellico Lake and the Tennessee River all close by. Buyers find waterfront homes, farms and quiet neighborhoods southwest of Knoxville. Pick a community below to see what is for sale.

I spent a good part of my life running like a bull, only to eventually discover I was standing in a china shop. I broke a few things. Fell down more than a few times. And somewhere along the way, by the grace of God, I learned that getting back up can teach a man considerably more than never falling in the first place.

So, if you're looking for the normal Realtor bio, I should probably apologize now. This isn't one.
