Blount County Tennessee Homes for Sale

East Tennessee / Blount County

The Area

Blount County TN Real Estate

Blount County was formed in 1795 from part of Knox County. It sits on the quiet side of the Great Smoky Mountains, where the foothills meet the valley and the park is a short drive from town. The county seat is also the largest city in the county.

Alcoa takes its name from the aluminum plant that was built there, and it was incorporated under that name in 1919. Townsend is one of the three official gateways to the national park, known for the Little River, creekside cabins and a calm, unhurried feel. Louisville, Friendsville and Rockford are close to Knoxville, and Walland sits near the foothills at the edge of the mountains.

Blount County pairs mountain scenery with an easy drive to Knoxville and the airport. Buyers come here for newer neighborhoods, family friendly towns, cabins and acreage, and for the quieter way into the Smokies. Pick a community below to see homes for sale.

I spent a good part of my life running like a bull, only to eventually discover I was standing in a china shop. I broke a few things. Fell down more than a few times. And somewhere along the way, by the grace of God, I learned that getting back up can teach a man considerably more than never falling in the first place.

So, if you're looking for the normal Realtor bio, I should probably apologize now. This isn't one.
