East Tennessee / Hancock County
Hancock County TN Real Estate
Hancock County lies in the northeast corner of Tennessee along the Virginia line. The state legislature created it from parts of Hawkins and Claiborne counties in 1844, though lawsuits delayed it until 1848. The county seat, Sneedville, is named for attorney William Sneed.
Sneedville is the only city in the county. Settlers first came here in the 1790s from Virginia and North Carolina. Kyles Ford sits on the upper Clinch River, where a preserve protects rare freshwater mussels, and Mulberry Gap is a quiet community in the northwest part of the county along State Route 63.
Hancock County is one of the least crowded counties in Tennessee, with ridges, river valleys, farms and long views. It is a place for buyers who want privacy and land. Pick a community below to see what is for sale.

I spent a good part of my life running like a bull, only to eventually discover I was standing in a china shop. I broke a few things. Fell down more than a few times. And somewhere along the way, by the grace of God, I learned that getting back up can teach a man considerably more than never falling in the first place.
So, if you're looking for the normal Realtor bio, I should probably apologize now. This isn't one.
